Environment Design Project Two (2008)

Background

Youth Park is part of Orchard Road rejuvenation project, a site of 1.2ha next to Orchard Cineleisure and the National Youth Council. It has been set aside as a community space for young Singaporeans. The community space and its activities will provide a focal point for the youth activities and enhance the vibrancy of Orchard area.

The rationale of my design is to propose a new food centre, a new performance area as well as a place that accommodates people which offers leisure and an ideal meeting spot. It is also a relaxation area which provides shade and shelter for the users.
